Born in Cornwall, I went to Falmouth and Exeter Colleges of Art then moved to London to live and work as an illustrator. In 1990 I moved back to Cornwall and have been based here since then.
In my 25 odd years as an illustrator I have worked on an eclectic range of jobs including maps, puzzle books , jigsaws, magazine and comic illustrations, children's story books, book covers, greetings cards, wall charts and educational work, with the odd mural thrown in for good measure! .Clients include Hallmark, the BBC, Barnardos, the Tidy Britain Group, Ladybird Books and Readers Digest and my work has been used as far afield as Germany, North and South America and Australia. Recently I have been commissioned locally to produce town and village maps and also to work on a set of 6 books and a CD promoting the use of the Cornish Language.

I have always had an interest in the use of perspective and like to try and incorporate unusual viewpoints in to my work to bring a fresh way of looking at sometimes familiar scenes and show more detail than would be possible with more traditional
angles.

I am able to work in a variety of media including digital and have produced illustrations in both Photoshop and Illustrator and recently have been colouring hand drawn art using customised brushes and imported photographic textures in Photoshop.
